We do not inhabit merely one physical city. Digital shadows and virtual twin cities are already part of our lived urban experience. In this project, we experimented with Mixed Reality and new media to explore, map, and communicate these hidden worlds. “Mirror Worlds, Shadowlands and Urban Doppelgängers” took place in collaboration with the XR HUB Bavaria within the project XR STAGE - an initiative to promote new media in art and culture. In a final project show at the XR Hub, we will explore different Augmented Reality Prototypes resulting from this collaboration and celebrate these inspiring projects with some drinks.
