Algorithmic Design

This seminar invites students to explore the growing research field of deep learning and its ever-increasing presence in research and practice. The course will provide an accessible and understandable introduction to the fundamentals of deep learning, providing the students with the tools to critically engage with the field.​

An emphasis is placed on rigorous research,creative problem framing and sound scientific methodology. The goal is not just to learn about AI tools, but to understand how they work and how they can properly be applied to existing problems. Students will be split into teams, develop a research-based concept for addressing an existing issue in the AEC field and test it out prototypically. ​

Prior knowledge to programing is not expected but will be of advantage. The final submission consist of a presentation and a10-page research paper.​
