Building laws, standards, and politics play determine not only what is built, but also the technical and design requirements that shape the appearance of our built environment. Recently, however, facing a demand for more adaptive and sustainable building methods, the term ‘over-regulation’ is frequently being used in this context. Therefore, a new building class “Gebäudetyp E” is in its initiation.
Our guests will present the project “Haus fast ohne Heizung”, the first building built in the new class. They will discuss what impact it has on the design process as well as on the form and appearance of a building.
The talk will be held in German.
