Invitation to the lecture by TOMAS - Transformation of Material and Space on June 1st, 2026.

TOMAS - Transformation of Material and Space - was founded in Berlin in 2024 by Annabelle von Reutern, Sofia Ceylan, and Katharina Neubauer. The founders do not see themselves as a conventional architectural practice, but rather as a company, that acquires, transforms, and operates vacant and properties threatened by demolition.
TOMAS directly responds to vacancy and the handling of existing built fabric, while also critically addressing structural inequalities within the construction and real estate industry. The aim is to develop new forms of ownership and use, and to establish a long-term investment approach that rethinks both the financing and usage structures of real estate. TOMAS advocates for greater access to planning and development processes and seeks in particular to empower women to actively participate in shaping real estate projects.

MONTAGSREIHE is a series of lectures by emerging architecture offices at the Department of Architecture.
