The Design AI Research Group delves into the potential applications of artificial intelligence within the design process, particularly emphasising architecture and urban planning. This interdisciplinary, international team, comprising architects, human-computer interaction specialists, and computer scientists, investigates the utilisation of generative AI models in design participation, simulation, and studio environments. Their research addresses practical challenges and develops innovative solutions. By venturing into new domains, the group aims to leverage AI-driven methodologies to enhance the built environment, ultimately improving the quality of life.
