Marie Dubus (she/they) born in 1995, is a French multimedia artist based between Berlin and Paris. Her work explores the relationship between the body and public spaces, borrowing codes from science fiction, video games, body horror, and ruin aesthetics. She portrays the city as a constantly mutating entity, and link it to the digital world to interrogate the place of FLINTA body in modern age.
In addition to being a member of the collective BMI, Marie often collaborates with other artists, viewing her practice as a dynamic playground open to transformation. Her installations and digital spaces serve as backdrops for unexpected encounters, fostering dialogue with musicians, textile artists, poets, and performers. While a heavy, atmospheric mood pervades her work, it paradoxically evokes a sense of calm and tranquility. Through her art, she envisions a world where humans are but one component of a vast architectural organism.
