As a continuation of the design studio “Made in Tettau”, students of the Master’s programme in Urbanism conducted a survey among residents and employees of the municipality of Tettau under the title “Do You Already Live Here – or Are You Still Commuting?”.

The online survey aimed to quantify the demand for new forms of housing among today’s commuters. It received strong support from local companies, which distributed a printed version of the questionnaire together with employees’ payslips to reinforce the initial findings—another student initiative that generated lasting impact.

Based on the survey results and additional statistical data provided by the municipality, the students developed concepts for the future spatial development of the area. The proposals were informed by repeated site visits and a systematic survey of the existing building stock along selected routes through Tettau and Kleintettau. In contrast to the preceding design studio “Made in Tettau”, this studio also focused on Kleintettau as an important part of the municipality and on its connections to the surrounding region.
