Elena Knuth-Pollok earned a B.A. in European Ethnology from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and completed her M.Sc. in Spatial Designs & Society at Roskilde University in Denmark in 2020. In her master’s thesis, she explored the potential and challenges of micro-living in urban spaces. Most recently, she worked as a project manager at the communications agency Munich Innovation Crew, where she developed communication strategies and concepts for clients in the real estate industry. Since 2026, Elena has been a research assistant at the Chair of Urban Design, conducting research on “communal living” as well as the transformation and revitalization of existing buildings.
