Seminar „Reflexion” / „Research questions” - Preperation Thesis WiSe 2026/27

In the combined module "Methodical Development of Research Questions" (MA Architecture) and "Reflections" (MA Urbanistik), the master’s thesis of the following semester is prepared in a series of joint sessions. In dialogue with the whole group, the student's own task is developed in the form of an exposé. Through literature research various analyses, the participants develop the framework conditions and deep background knowledge about the respective question. The topic can be freely chosen in consultation with the professor. However, it should be within the field of urban design, related to one of the professorship's main research areas, and have a clear design focus. As a rule, the master’s thesis is an individual project, but group work is also possible. In consultation with the respective research group, theses can also be coordinated with ongoing research projects.
