Master Level 4 SWS / 6 ECTS
Lecturers: Prof. Andres Lepik, Dr.-Ing. Andjelka Badnjar
AR30190

*For the first session, we ask students to send one A4 PDF to badnjar@architekturmuseum.de, showing one selected case of a building donation in Germany after World War II, accompanied by the basic information.

For the purpose of the exhibition “The Gift: Stories of Generosity and Violence in Architecture” to be opened at the Architekturmuseum in February 2024, the seminar invites students to produce strategies of curating for the last section. This focuses on German case studies of gifted architecture after World War II. As part of the seminar, two scopes will be addressed. Firstly, students will select and research case studies of donated buildings. Secondly, they will relate their research to spatial proposals for exhibits within the initial guidelines offered. In order to do so, the seminar will bring together the curators, the exhibition and graphic designers, and the production team. Students will be asked to submit a short review notebook documenting their own involvement in the process.
