Lecture Series: Cultural Heritage, History and Criticism

Bachelor/Master Level 2 SWS / 3 ECTS
Prof. Dr. Andres Lepik
AR20100

The Lecture class will focus on various aspects of architectural research in history, curatorial practice, publishing and criticism. As It is organized by the Architecture Museum of TUM / Chair of Architecture History and Curatorial Studies, most speakers in this class are either academic assistants, research fellows, experts from outside or Doctoral Candidates at the chair. Acting both as a chair at TUM and as a public museum in Pinakothek der Moderne, we understand our role as an open platform for academic research and communication for relevant topics in current (and historical) architecture. Through research and seminars we prepare exhibitions, often together with students, and we enable publications, extended research, conferences and publications. A main focus in the lecture class are the topics we are engaged with and that shape our teaching and exhibition program.
