Sina Zarei began his architectural studies in the faculty of Fine Arts at Tehran University and continued with a master's program on the History and Theory of Architecture at Beheshti University. 2015, he started his research career in historical research and text analysis of architecture, cooperating with the Iranian Academy of Arts and the Research Centre for Road, Housing, and Urban Development. He is currently writing his Ph.D. dissertation on The Meaning of Architecture in Persian Magazines of the 1990s in the chair of architectural history and museum curatorial practice. Relying on Post-Structuralist Theories of Language and Text Analysis, he focuses on the merging area of architecture and text, where he aims to reveal the discursive strategies shaping the meaning of architecture in our modern world.
