Invitation to application for this year's Christiane Thalgott Prize.
The prize is awarded to student projects by female students of the Department of Architecture at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) that demonstrate an innovative and interdisciplinary approach to the task.
This prize is awarded under the patronage of Prof. Christiane Thalgott, former city councilor of Munich and former honorary professor for "Strategy and Implementation in Urban Planning" at the Department of Architecture. Thanks to the support of the Berberich Foundation, this year's prize money is €1,000.
The work must generate synergies from the knowledge of different disciplines beyond the actual task. The award focuses in particular on socially relevant questions.
Additional information/ formal requirements:
- Prize is open to female students only
- Project from the past academic year (current summer term + past winter term)
- Project must have been conducted at TUM (BA or MA level)
Results of design work as well as theoretical work from supplementary and advanced subjects can be submitted.
The jury consists of Christiane Thalgott, two TUM professors, two representatives of the academic staff, and one a women's representative from the Department of Architecture.
Nomination for the award is possible as personal application.
