Franziska Sorger, M.A. TUM
Franziska Sorger studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich, the Technical University of Vienna, and the Universidad de Sevilla, and completed her master’s degree in 2024.
Alongside her studies, she gained practical experience in architectural practices such as NOVA Architekten and worked in the collections and archive of the Architecture Museum of the TUM. Her interests lie in material culture, circular building practices, and the development of regionally grounded design strategies.
Since May 2025, she has been working as a Research Associate at the Professorship of Architecture and Design at TUM.
She is involved in the DBU-funded research project on innovative applications of hempcrete in building practice, focusing on material optimization and standardization.
In parallel, she is pursuing her doctoral studies at TUM with the media-based dissertation project Bioregional Weaving in the Development and Implementation of Regenerative Building Materials, which explores the cultural, technical, and procedural dimensions of regenerative architecture.
