Ningning Wang, M.A. TUM
Ningning Wang graduated with a Master’s degree in architecture from the Technical University of Munich, following a Bachelor’s degree in environmental design from Renmin University of China. In 2024, she joined the TUM School of Engineering and Design as a doctoral researcher at the Professorship of Architecture and Design. Her research focuses on the development of modular green roof systems using bio-based materials such as hemp, wood, and coconut fibers. Through material testing, LCA, and prototyping, she explores climate-resilient solutions for urban environments, contributing to sponge city strategies and circular design. Prior to her PhD, she worked on interdisciplinary projects in China and Germany and received several awards, including the 2nd Prize in the Leipzig Green Roof Research Programme. Dedicated to ecological architecture, she combines research, prototyping, and cross-cultural collaboration to advance circular design and nature-based urban solutions.
