Grünes Entrée

Student competition on the western campus entrance in FS-Weihenstephan (3 ECTS)

An extensive gravelled area and a wooden sculpture amidst parking cars. This is how the Center of Forestry on the western edge of Weihenstephan campus presented itself to its visitors for the last 30 years. The "Green Entrée" that was originally planned here has never been realised. Now it is high time to uncover the hidden potential of this exposed site.

The aim of the competition is to develop an identity-creating prelude and entrance to the Center of Forestry. It should do justice to its significance as the entrée of the forestry institutions. The site should serve as an open space for students and employees, an attractive open space and a passageway for residents. Likewise, it should be adaptable for future campus developments.

Who has creative ideas for the design of the campus entrée?
