Repair of Historic Supporting Structures

The methods and techniques of repairing historical building structures are explained using examples. Examination methods, securing, repairing and upgrading old building structures made of masonry, wood, iron and concrete are dealt with. Special consideration is given to procedures that protect the substance and are appropriate for listed buildings.

After successfully completing the course, students will have an overview of the methods and possibilities of repairing historical building structures and will be able to develop their own repair concepts.
