Invitation to the lecture by SUJETS OBJETS on May 5, 2025.
SUJETS OBJETS is an architectural practice founded in 2020 in Geneva by Dafni Retzepi, Charline Dayer, Thierry Buache, and Philippe Buchs. Their approach embraces existing conditions as a means to generate specific and unexpected encounters. Through built work, they test the boundaries of architecture and engage with other disciplines. They explore diverse formats of projects, using performance and curation as creative tools. Sujets Objets advocates for spatial openness, creating places that invite appropriation rather than dictate use. They view architectural tools as political instruments, initiating self-driven projects that propose new forms of public space.
MONTAGSREIHE is a lecture series hosted by the Department of Architecture at the TUM School of Engineering and Design (ED) offering a platform for emerging architects and designers to share their perspectives on contemporary practice.
In project lectures, they discuss their architectural language, the design process, and the challenges they face in the field. The series fosters critical discourse on aesthetics, design, and social and ecological responsibility in the built environment. By connecting architects, students, and enthusiasts, MONTAGSREIHE contributes to a dynamic and diverse architectural dialogue in Munich and beyond.
