Baukultur: Fokus Land

Indikator für kluge Erneuerungen gerade in ländlichen Räumen ist eine Baukultur, die aus selbstbewussten und selbst bestimmten Regionen, Orten oder Gemeinschaften heraus entwickelt, getragen und unterhalten wird. Als Kulturgut steht sie für die Verabredung gemeinschaftlicher Werte, Stärkung der Identität und der räumlichen Qualitäten, die nachhaltige und suffiziente Nutzung einer Vielfalt an eigenen Ressourcen in bestehenden und neuartigen Verknüpfungen von Wohnen, Wirtschaften und gesellschaftlichem Miteinander und daraus resultierender neuer Wertschöpfungen, sowie ein fruchtbares Milieu für lokales und vernetztes Engagement und gemeinschaftlich getragene Prozesse.

Die Vorlesungsserie im Herbst 2016 zeigt eine Reihe von „better practise“ Fallbeispielen aus Bayern und den angrenzenden Regionen.

Dabei gilt es die Fragen möglichst spezifisch zu beantworten:

Wie bildet sich Baukultur in ländlichen Lebenswelten Mitteleuropas ab?

Welche Werte und Potenziale transportiert sie dabei?

Wie und durch wen entsteht Baukultur heute konkret?

Welche Voraussetzungen, Instrumente und Formate dienen der Sicherung, Entwicklung, Förderung von Baukultur?

In begründeten Fällen (Studienmobilität) kann der Prüfungstermin vorgezogen werden. Da nur eine sehr limitierte Anzahl an Prüfungsfenstern hierfür zur Verfügung steht muss die Anmeldung rechtzeitig und persönlich beim Sekretariat des Lehrstuhl erfolgen. Eine förmliche Anmeldung zur Prüfung in TUMonline wird durch diese Meldung nicht ersetzt.´
Da der vorgezogene Prüfungstermin während der Semesterzeit stattfinden muss kann es zu Kollisionen mit anderen Veranstaltungen kommen. Wir bitten daher, bei der Anmeldung auf allfällige Terminkollisionen mit anderen Veranstatlungen an der TUM aufmerksam zu machen. 
Die genaue Uhrzeit der Prüfung wird nach Abgabe der Exposés bekanntgegeben.
 
Format Prüfung
Die Prüfung besteht aus zwei Bestandteilen:
 
1. Exposé
Durch den Studenten gewähltes und vorbereitetes Thema aus Vorlesungsreihe.
Zur Orientierung dienen Vorlesungen und abgegebene Materialien (Folienauszüge, Schlagworte). Ein Bezug zur Vorlesungsreihe oder einer bestimmten Vorlesung der Reihe muss explizit hergestellt und thematisch plausibel gegeben sein!
Das Thema wird in einem KURZEXPOSÉ vorgestellt und strukturiert.
Bei verspäteter Abgabe kann die mündliche Prüfung nicht zum genannten Prüfungstermin stattfinden.

(max. 2 Standardseiten Text plus Abbildungen und Quellen) - mehr wird nicht gelesen.

Exposé enthält:
– NAME und MATRIKELNUMMER des Studenten auf allen Blättern
– Titel des gewählten Themas/ Forschungsfrage
– Kurze Erläuterung der Problematik/ v.a. auch im Zusammenhang zur Vorlesungsreihe
– Strukturierung der Prüfung / Welche Aspekte werden vertieft angeschaut? 
   Welche Aspekte ausgeschlossen? Was sind Hauptquellen? Beispiele?
 
2. Mündliche Prüfung
Das gewählte Thema ist am Beginn der mündlichen Prüfung zu nennen.
Freie Präsentation/Darstellung/Erläuterung des Themas (ca. 5-7min)
Fragen/Diskussion durch Prüfer zum Thema und zur Vorlesungsreihe (5-10min)

 

Hinweise zur Kreditierung

Das dargestellte Prüfungsformat bezieht sich auf eine Kreditierung des Faches in Höhe von 3 ECTS. Es besteht grundsätzlich die Möglichkeit die Kreditierung der VL-Reihe mit einem individuell mit dem Dozenten abzusprechenen Format (typischerweise Seminararbeit) zu komplementieren und so eine Gesamtbewertung von 3+3 ECTS zu erreichen.

Die Anmeldung für den ergänzenden Baustein muss rechtzeitig beim Dozenten erfolgen. Aufgrund der begleitenden individuellen Betreuung dieser Arbeit muss die maximale Anzahl der Studierenden auf ca. 25 Personen begrenzt werden.

After registration in TUMonline for examination the exact time-slots for the interview will be send to your personal eMail adress approximately 7 days prior to examination date and after having received the exposee!
Please make sure, that you are registered for the examination in TUMonline!

Responding to requirements of students mobility the institute offers an Early Exam Option:
Date will be announced. (filing date for exposé/abstract, Date will be announced by email). 
Due to capacitary limitations, the chair can provide only a limited number time slots for examination. Thus the claim for a examination slot in this period has to be conclusively substantiated. The registration has to be made personally at the secretaries´office of the Chair of Sustainable Urbanism (room 2241, Mrs Anja Runkel). The registration does not replace the official registration procedure in TUMonline.
 
1. Abstract / Exposé
Students are requested to choose and prepare one topic/a case study in relation to the lecture series. For orientation and identification of possible topics all lecture presentation or secondary texts provided on this internet page (see above). Please make sure that the chosen topic plausibly relates or links to the lecture series and its content.

Since the interview aims at deeper understanding of the complex interrelations between urban concepts and contextual constraints it is recommended to choose for a topic/case study which connects to the personal environment or cultural context of the student. It can either be a concrete case-study or project which will be discussed in the thematic realm of the lecture series‘ focus, here „Restlandschaften/left-over landscapes“. Or it can be one thematic aspect isolated from the presentations which will be elaborated into the depth, e.g. „why it is important to deal with xyz.....?“.

The topic will be presented in basic information on What?, in Which context?, Where to find information? in a short ABSTRACT which has to be submitted not later than February 12th, 2016. For the later interview/oral exam this exposé forms the basis of discussion, it will be read for preparational purposes by the examinators. So, please do not repeat basic information given in the abstract in the later interview!
In case of late entry of the abstract/exposé the oral exam has to be postponed to the the next examination period due to administrative reasons (October 2016)

Format:
Maximum of 2 standard pages text, PLUS illustrations/maps., PLUS informations on sources of research, bibiliography etc.

the exposee contains:
– NAME and STUDENTS‘ TUM REGISTRATION NUMBER on all pages
– Title of the topic chosen/ „research question“ (What am I interested in?)
– Short introduction into problem/challenge. esp. in the context of the lecture series.
– Structure of the Interview / Which aspects should we look at into details? 
   Which aspects are not in the focus? Which are the main sources for information?
   Are there examples/reference projects in application in space? (important esp. in
   abstract thematic approaches)

2. Oral exam / Presentation and interview
Presentation and interview 15-30 min in groups of 2 students. / Language: German or English.
Presentation and introduction into the problem/topic chose for examination by the student (approx. 5-7 min).
Questions/discussion of topic and lecture series content guided by the examinator (8-15min)

 

Information on ECTS-Creditation:

The examination format presented allows for a 3ECTS creditation. 

Optional credits:

In addition to this standard formats, students may choose for a supplemtary development of an individual topic, linked to the lecture series in a seminar paper/project paper. This allows for a 3+3 creditation. Topic and format of this individual paper have to be developped in dialogue with the lecturer/professor. To provide a good guidance in the seminar, the number of students for this individual module has to be limited to 25pax.
