In the series Beiträge zur Kulturgeschichte der Natur ("Contributions to the Cultural History of Nature") studies will be published that reconstruct interconnections in the context of ecological science, nature and environmental conservation and landscape planning and landscape architecture. The publication series thus aims at making a critical contribution above all to the discourse of environmetal politics. In the interest of illuminating the history and logics of anti-modernism in the modern era, the series in particular focussesthe ideology-historical reconstruction of theories dealing with criticism of civilization and progress.
After the retirment of Professor Ludwig Trepl, the series Beiträge zur Kulturgeschichte der Natur was provissionally taken into the responsibility of the Chair of History and Theory of Landscape Architecture. After the departure of Stefanie Hennecke, the Chair of Landscape Architecture and Industrial Landscape has adopted it. A decision about a potential new editorial group and the continuation of the series is pending.
