Curriculum Vitae
Tanja Schmitt-Fumian serves as a design professor at SRH – Distance Learning University. Prior to this, she was the Dean of Macromedia University's Faculty of Creative Arts and also taught at ZHdK (Zürcher Hochschule der Künste). With an education from Germany and the U.S., she has worked with major brands during her 20-year career. Her academic contributions include serving on the jury for the iF Design Award and reviewing papers for the Design Management Institute. She has won several awards, including the Red Dot Design Award, ADC Awards and the iF Communication Design Award.Her research focuses on the creation of design knowledge and the role of AI in education and assessment, specifically comparing AI-based and traditional assessment methods for evaluating student performance.
