Curriculum Vitae 

John is a Design Strategist and Co-Founder of State of Culture, driven by a passion for innovative brands and spatial experiences — spanning branded environments, compact living concepts, and dynamic workplaces. With nearly two decades of corporate experience and global exposure, he has held positions in renowned multinational organizations such as Hugo Boss, SAP, Li & Fung USA, The Walt Disney Company, Steelcase, and Jones Lang LaSalle. John earned his degrees from HTWG Konstanz, Shanghai Jiaotong University, and Hong Kong Polytechnic University – School of Design, and is currently based in Germany.

 Alongside his professional practice, he serves as a university lecturer and regularly contributes to international design events as a juror for prestigious institutions such as iF Design and Frame, with a particular focus on architecture and interior design.

 He is presently pursuing his doctoral research, a position funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR).
