Curriculum Vitae
Shuyun Liu is a product designer and design researcher working at the intersection of technology and design. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D., focusing on tangible AI and sensible AI. Her research combines vision-based AI, large-language models(LLM) and vision–language models(VLM) to examine how people experience and emotionally engage with design elements, aiming for enhance meaningful human–AI interaction and support human-centered design.
Shuyun holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Design from Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle (2019–2022), where she received the Best Student Award in the international design competition 3D Pioneers Challenge and was awarded the Graduation Scholarship for International Students from the DAAD. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from Beijing Institute of Technology (2013–2017).
