Stephan Lintner
Prof. Dipl.-Ing., Honorarprofessor der TU München
Prof. Lintner studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich. After graduating in 1985, he worked for several years as a design architect. He completed his traineeship in urban planning at the Free State of Bavaria and graduated in 1989 with the Große Staatsprüfung. After working in various positions, Prof. Lintner became head of the urban planning department at the State Ministry of Housing, Construction and Transport in 2006. In 2005, Prof. Lintner was appointed to the German Academy for Urban and Regional Planning.

Elisabeth Merk

Prof. Dr. (University of Florence) Elisabeth Merk, architect, has served as the City of Munich’s Planning Director since 2007 and was reelected in 2018 for the third time. From 1988 to 1994, she worked in architecture and monument protection. From 1995 to 2000, she contributed to urban
planning, urban monument conservation, and special projects in Munich and Regensburg. She headed the urban development and urban planning division in Halle/Saale from 2000 to 2005. From 2005 to 2007 Elisabeth Merk had a regulary professorship at the Hochschule für Technik
Stuttgart (HfT). In 2009, Elisabeth Merk was appointed honorary professor at the HfT, Faculty of Architecture and Design. In 2020 she received an honorary professorship at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Elisabeth Merk was President of the German Academy for Urban and
Regional Spatial Planning (DASL) from 2015 to 2022. In addition to her role as an observer in the Construction and Transport Committee of the German Association of Cities and Towns, she is member of the Construction and Planning Committee of the Bavarian Association of Cities and
Towns, the UNESCO Network for the Conservation of Modern Architecture and Integrated Territorial Urban Conservation, the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), the Board for National Urban Development Policy, the German Werkbund, Europan, acatech and the Federal Foundation for Building Culture.

Christiane Thalgott (former)
Prof. Dr.-Ing. E.h., Honorarprofessorin der TU München
Prof. Thalgott studied architecture at the Technical Universities in Braunschweig and Munich.
After working in the building department of Noderstedt and as a city building councillor of Kassel, she was city building councillor of Munich between 1992 and 2007 and a Honorary Professor at the Technical University Munich from 2003 till 2023.
