The city in the mirror of everyday architecture

Everyday architecture is only seemingly banal and one-dimensional. Rather, it reflects the complexity and also the contradictoriness of the respective culture. In the research field, individual buildings, building types, but also streetscapes are examined, which can be assigned to everyday architecture, but in their creation and expression reveal the depth of the city. The examination ranges from the visual perception to the reflection of the design activity to the socio-cultural and medial embedding of the respective architecture.
