Susanne Brunner studied restoration, conservation science and art technology at the Technical University in Munich (TUM). She specialized on modern materials and plastics. After graduating she received a scholarship at the Deutsches Museum München at the conservation research institute, where she continued to work in 2019. Since 2020 she has been working on the conservation of outdoor transparent acrylics at the TUM in cooperation with the Deutsches Museum München and the Bayerisches Landesamt für Denkmalpflege (Bavarian State Conservation Office), funded by the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU).
