Parkmeile Grünes Band Ost

Implementation-oriented planning concepts for two selected sections north and south of Gleisharfe Berg am Laim
Bachelor 2. Semester - SS 2018 (WZ6163)

Parking miles" are an important core element in the future open space concept of the city of Munich. The Green Belt East is a chain of the most diverse heterogeneous open spaces extending from Feringa Lake in the north to Perlacher Forest in the south. Landscape architectural designs of two strategic open spaces, north and south of the Berg am Laim railway line, will be used to investigate which landscape qualities can be integrated into the urban fabric while at the same time increasing the variety of uses. The aim is to create outdoor spaces that are ecologically effective, aesthetically stimulating and above all socially useful.
