Observation stations on the Freising west bypass

Wintersemester 2015/16 - Bachelor Modul 1 Projekt für Landschaftsarchitektur und Landschaftsplanung 1, 1. Semester (3 SWS, 5 ECTS)

The city of Freising is planning the construction of a connecting road, which will be the main road connecting the Thalhauser Straße and Münchner Straße traffic routes leading radially into the city. It is a section of the Weihenstephaner Ring, a ring-shaped bypass of Freising's city center. The project aims to investigate the qualities of the intersected landscape, how they will change and how the special qualities of this landscape can be experienced. The student teams develop their own attitude towards the existing landscape. The result is a draft of a landscape-architectural settlement / a spatial intervention. The result should be observation stations or landscape modulations, which allow the visitors a special landscape experience. Places and objects that allow the visitor to come into contact with the landscape.
